2007 has been a record year in both Australia and New Zealand for Northwest Cherry shipments.
Preliminary figures show:
- Australia 275,000 (5kg) cartons (the previous record, in 2005, was 220,000 cartons)
- New Zealand 16,000 cartons (previous record, in 2006, was 10,000 cartons).

Fresh Summit, Houston - 12 to 15 October

September 14: Deadline to register on line at the 'early bird' rate.

The third PMA Fresh Connections Conference in Australia was rated by delegates as the best yet, for both program content and networking opportunities. 199 delegates from all Australian states and New Zealand attended this year's conference in Sydney.
PMA will continue to hold the conference annually.

Keynote speakers included Bill Schuler, President and CEO, Castellini Group of Companies in the US and PMA's Nancy Tucker (pictured), who made a joint presentation on "Global Trends in Consolidation".
