Chief Executive John Baker has over 30 years experience in fresh fruit and vegetable production and marketing. In the nine years prior to establishing Produce Marketing Australia, he was Managing Director (and previously Marketing Manager) of the Australian Horticultural Corporation (AHC), the national statutory marketing authority for the Australian horticultural industry.
He previously managed the Sydney wholesale fruit, vegetable and flower markets, and also had 18 years in agricultural extension and extension management. His strengths include an extensive network with producer and marketing organisations and retailers in Australia and internationally, marketing and business development.
Marketing Services Manager Mark Baker is responsible for trade and consumer promotion activity. He joined Produce Marketing Australia in April 2001 and has established an extensive network within the Australian retail sector, including national supermarkets, independent supermarkets and specialist greengrocers. Trade networks include importers and wholesalers in all states. He is the Australian United Fresh (AUF) 2001 Junior Achiever of the Year.
Director Jacquie Baker provides the company's financial management. She has over 15 year's experience in finance, previously providing contract finance services to a range of small to medium enterprises.
